Services for Shirley Krepcik Coon were Tuesday at the American Lutheran Church in Gothenburg with Rev. Brian Bergum officiating. Music was by Georgia Nelson and Laura Block.
Pallbearers were Mike and Robert "Butch" Chapin, Jim Davidsen, Ed Krone Jr. and Duane and Mike Gradeke. Burial was in the Farnam Cemetery.
Mrs. Coon, 36, of Grand Island died Saturday, June 6, 1987 in Grand Island. She was born Jan. 12, 1951, at Gothenburg to Emil and Cecil Gaedke Krepcik. She worked as a nurses' aide for the last 10 years in Grand Island nursing homes.
A memorial has been established to the American Lutheran Church, St. Francis Medical Center and the National Epilepsy Foundation.
