Funeral services for Mae Litchenberg, 87, of Gothenburg, were held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church. She died Sunday at the Gothenburg Memorial Hospital.

Pastor George Ibach conducted the services. The music was provided by Larry Viter and Viola Nordin, accompanist. Pallbearers were Ivar Johnson, Larry Viter, Marshall Burchell, Otto Franzen, Lawrence Baker and Jack Kniss. Interment was in the Farnam Cemetery.

Mae Grace Litchenberg was born Jan. 25, 1899, in Farnam. She was the daughter of Henry and Mary (Pike) Baker. She was raised at Farnam and graduated from Farnam High School. She was married to Ben Litchenberg on March 15, 1933 at Hastings. They made their home north of Farnam where they farmed. They moved to Gothenburg in 1947.

Mae was an active member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, Jack Litchenberg of Houston, TX; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one daughter, Marie.
