ELLA ORA THOMAS

Ella Ora Thomas was born July 1, 1869 in Cumberland County, Illinois, and passed away at her home at Farnam, Nebr. April 16, 1928, age 58 years, 9 months and 15 days.

She came with her parents to Frontier County in 1892, where she has since lived up to a few weeks ago when she and her brothers moved north of Farnam about 7 1/2 miles.

She was converted at an early age and in 1914 she joined the Lone Star Church of the Nazarene, remaining a faithful member of the same until Jesus called, "Come up higher."

Her heart was in the work and she always manifested a keen interest in those things pertaining to the heavenly kingdom of her Saviour.

She began to fall in health in Dec. 1926 and gradually grew worse. All thru her illness we were impressed with the sweet spirit of patience and resignation she so beautifully manifested and we are made to realize in this hour of sorrow that our loss is her gain.

Her parents and one sister preceeded her in death several years ago. Those who remain to mourn her departure are her two brothers, Fred and Lue, beside a host of friends.

Kindness was the key note of everything done for her by her two brothers during her long illness.

Our hearts go out to those bereaved ones in their hour of sorrow.

Funeral services were conducted from the M.E. church Tuesday afternoon by Rev. J.D. Williams, pastor of the Nazarene Church. Interment was made in the Farnam Cemetery.
