RUSSELLVILLE — Sandra Magar, 65, of Russellville died Tuesday, April 23, 2013, in a Manhattan, Kan., hospital.

Born Feb. 16, 1948, in Guthrie, Okla., she was the daughter of Dale Whitted and Sammie Francis Weatherspoon Whitted Walker. She was a customer service representative with International Paper. She was an avid reader, quilter, animal lover and chocoholic.

Survivors include three sons, Michael Magar of Manhattan, Travis Magar of Fayetteville and Robert Magar of Russellville; a daughter, Amanda Pontes of Russellville; three grandchildren, Duncan Magar, Katie Milligan and Melina Waldon; her mother; a brother, Michael Whitted of Coppell, Texas; two sisters, Cindy Whitted of Galveston, Texas, and Muriel Watson of Huffman, Texas; and many nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton E. Magar; and her father.

The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Friday at Humphrey Funeral Service Chapel, located at 2801 West Main St. in Russellville, with the Rev. Randy Magar officiating. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. in Locust Grove Cemetery at Locust Grove.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight.
