-- Mrs. Gladys Shaw Sullivan, 84, of Lancaster, widow of Rev. Oscar Sullivan, Jr. passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born September 21, 1927 in McBee, SC, a daughter of the late Walter Shaw and Maggie Walters Shaw Powell. Mrs. Sullivan was a member of Canaan Free Will Baptist Church.

A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Sullivan will be held Friday, September 7, 2012 at 11:00 am at Canaan Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Wesley Campbell, Rev. Tim Larrimore and Rev. Dr. Tommy Bryson officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Grove Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Sullivan is survived by a son, Ralph Sullivan and his wife Alice of Lancaster; a sister, Genolia Deese of Kershaw; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Lee Shaw, Troy Shaw and Ernest Shaw; and three sisters, Mary Bell McKenzie, Vera Mae Horton and Thelma Sullivan.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Lancaster Funeral Home and other times at the home of Ralph and Alice Sullivan, 1706 Windsor Drive, Lancaster.

Memorial contributions may be made to Canaan Free Will Baptist Church, PO Box 220, Lancaster, SC 29720.
