Charles Angelo DePrisco was born in Battipaglia, Salerno, Campania Province, Italy on 10 Feb 1865. The son of Francesco DePrisco and Filomena DeMorco. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1882. Angelo probably arrived with a brother, Antonio, followed by Alfonso and Giovanni DePrisco by 1890.

In 1888, Angelo married Margaret (Michaela) Morano. Margaret was born in May, 1870 in Salerno, Italy. She had immigrated to the United States in 1887 with the following family members that we know of: her parents Giuseppe (Joseph) and Annie Morano and sister Jemma/Gemma (Jennie/Jane).

As many of the Italian immigrants had done, Angelo worked as a quarryman, and helped build many of the beautiful stone structures in Wilmington, Delaware.

Angelo died on 15 Oct 1905, at 40 years of age.

Children of Angelo and Margaret:
Frank Michael (1890–1947), John DePrisco Briscoe (1892-1947)**John changed his surname to hide his Italian heritage when joining the Navy, Alphonse (1894–1903), Philomena (May) (born 1896), Annie (1898-1984), Joseph (1900–1901), Charles (1902–1904), Katie (Catherine) (1904-1978).

After Angelo's death, Margaret remarried. Her second husband was a widower, Michael Uzzo. He was also an Italian immigrant and worked as a milkman/ice cream vendor in the city of Wilmington.

Michael died on 23 Dec 1944, and Margaret on January 14, 1946. Both are buried in Cathedral cemetery, Wimington, Delaware.

The children from Margaret's second marriage: Frederick Uzzo (1908-1920), Mary (Mollie) Uzzo (born 1909), and Helen Uzzo (1910-1917)
