NESS CITY - Philip Hemel, 72, died Friday at
the Central Kansas Medical Center, Great Bend.

Born Feb. 15, 1904 in Russia, he married
Mollie Funk July 1, 1935 at Bazine.

He was a retired farmer and lifelong resident
of Ness County.

Survivors include widow; son: Ronald,
Ness City; daughters: Mrs. Bill Smith;
Hoxie; Mrs. Wayne Phariss, Reedley, Calif.;
Mrs. Larry Filson, Protection; brother:
Jake, Dighton; sister: Mrs. Lizzie Daubert,
Otis; three grandchildren.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at Fitzgerald
Funeral Home, Ness City; Rev.Jack
Kersenbrock. Burial will be in Bazine
Cemetery. Family suggests memorials
to Heart Fund.
