CUMBERLAND, MD - Dayle L. Jacobs, 58, of Cumberland, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at her residence.
Born September 16, 1946 in Cumberland, she was the daughter of Homer D. Deneen and the late Catherine (MacFarlane) Deneen.
Mrs. Jacobs was a former social worker for HRDC, Human Resource Development Center. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene where she was active in the church and was a former Sunday School Superintendent.
Surviving are her husband, Harold Buck Jacobs, one son, John J. Jacobs and wife Kerri, Bel Air, Cumberland; two sisters, Trinka Schevlin and husband Rev. Kirk Schevlin, Brick, NJ, Lisa Deneen, Cumberland; one brother, Rev. Mark Deneen and wife Marlene, Niles, OH; grandson, Coleman and granddaughter, Grace; one niece and four nephews and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, PA, 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Gary Barkley officiating.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
