Gordon L Southam, 94 of Dunedin, Florida, passed on Friday, April 12, 2013 at Curlew Care in Clearwater. Gordon was born on December 10, 1918 to Joseph and Charlotte Gerhart Southam in Easton, Pennsylvania. He moved to Florida in 1981 from Hockessin, Delaware. He served in the Navy as a Chief Bosun's Mate for over 20 years. Gordon was an active member of Espiritu Santo Catholic Church in Safety Harbor FL. He was a Marion Servant at the House of Prayer in Clearwater. Gordon was an avid tennis player. He loved fishing, bird watching, gardening and spending time with family and friends.

Gordon was preceded in death by his beloved wife Mary of 30 years in 1997.

Gordon is survived by his three sons, William Rodger "Rodd" Browne of Fernandina Beach FL; John "J" (Linda) Mackall Young of Wilmington DE; Henry "Hank" (Judie) Waggaman Southam of Oswego IL; two daughters, Mary (Penny) Frances Reph of Seaside OR; Michelle H "Holly" Pfister of Dunedin FL; one brother, Robert (Bob) Southam of PA; one sister, Muriel Opetis (Opitz); eleven grandchildren, Travis, Kellen, Tanya, Stephen, Mark, Andrea, Kaitlin, John III, Garrett, Joel and Natasha; sixteen great-grandchildren and many loving friends.

A Visitation will be held on Monday, April 15, 2013 at 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm, with a Wake Service at 3:00 pm at Moss Feaster Funeral Home in Dunedin FL. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 16th at 10:30 am at Espiritu Santo Catholic Church in Safety Harbor FL.
Memorial donations in Gordon's memory can be made to Suncoast Hospice.
