Karen Eleanor Storm, age 74 of Yakima, died on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Cottage in the Meadow after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Hawthorne, California to the late Edward and Edith (Delaney) Hill. She is preceded in death by her husband Racy McDermitt Storm.
Karen was a devoted homemaker to her children and grandchildren until the day she died. She was an avid bingo player and loved the friends she made while playing. She loved shopping at Macy's and having her hair done every Friday morning by Cathy Ross.
Karen is survived by her sons: Lawrence Kephart of Yakima, Wesley (Barbara) Kephart of Wapato, David (Diane) Kephart of Washington, Utah;2 daughters: Eleanor White of Yakima, and Christina (Gary) Zerby of Moxee; six grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; a sister Sheila Lilly of California; two brothers: Kenneth Hill of California, and David Hill of Mexico
A memorial service will be held at Brookside Funeral Home, Moxee on Monday, May 20, 2013 at 3:00 pm. There will be a reception following the memorial service at the home of Christina and Gary in Moxee.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Cottage in the Meadow and mailed c/o Brookside Funeral Home, PO Box 9907, Yakima, WA 98909
