Janis Lea Herchman left this earth on Thursday, May 23, 2013, to be with her Lord and her loving husband, Bill, and, of course, her dog, Sunny. She was born on Oct. 22, 1934, in Tyler. She graduated from Tyler Junior College and had a long career in accounting. She loved to travel and be surrounded by family and friends. Mom loved the ocean so there was no question to what we should do with her remains. Mom will be cremated and her ashes will be scattered in the place she loved most. She was a loving role model to her family and special to many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, of 54 years. She is survived by son, Randy Herchman and wife, Rebecca; daughter, Terry Flynn and husband, Mike; daughter, Kathy Meyer and husband, Greg; daughter, Missy McNeil and husband, Dan. She had 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and her dogs, Sophie and Bonita.
