At age 22, on Valentines Day, 14 February, 1821, Harriet married Lorenzo George, who had recently come to Danvers from New Hampshire. (Harriet's sister, Abby, married Lorenzo's brother, Truman George.)
Together, the couple had a son and four daughters, all born in Danvers, Massachusetts. Their children were as follows: N.C. George (1852-1938) d. Kearney, NE, Ella Marie (Trew) (1854-1938) d. Kearney, NE, Ida Mae (Snider) (1859-1945) d. Whatcom County, WA, Cora Jane (Morgan)(1860-1918)d. Cumro, NE, and Flora Adelaide (Silvernail) (1863-1947), d. Milltown, WA.
Tragically, Harriet died at just 35 years of age, n the Fall of 1863, 21 November. Her youngest child, daughter Flora, was less than one year old at the time of Harriet's untimely death.
Harriet's husband and family went "West" a few years later, husband Lorenzo commenting that it was hard on their young family (when Harriet passed on). The children were educated in Nebraska, and lived long properous lives.
Husband Lorenzo never remarried, and is buried in Washington State along with daughter Flora. Daughter Ida Mae is also buried in the State of Washington. Son N.C., and daughters Ella and Cora are buried in Nebraska.
