Engagement is Announced, Miss Frances Wormood to Wed Joseph Winterbotham; Announcement Made at Beautiful Luncheon Yesterday Afternoon at Home of Miss Henrietta Converse, 1346 N. Eighth St.: At a beautiful lavender and white luncheon given at one o'clock yesterday at the home of Miss Henrietta Converse, 1346 North Eighth street, the engagement of Joseph Winterbotham and Miss Frances Wormood, daughter of A.S. Wormood, 325 South Spring street, was announced. The home was beautifully decorated with lavender and white chrysanthemums, and the lavender shaded candles lent an artistic finish. At each plate lay a flower with the cards of Miss Wormood and Mr. Winterbotham attached. Covers were laid for twelve. The guests included: Mrs. James Winterbotham, Mrs. Ellis Bostick, Miss Priscillia Pickrell of Lanesville, Misses Grace Wormood, Louise Helmie, Helen Thoma, Bess and Elizabeth Leach, Hazel Smith, Edith Bowyer, Henrietta Converse and Miss Wormood. The bride is a graduate of the Springfield high school and is a favorite in social circles. Mr. Winterbotham came to the city from Jacksonville, and is a son of Mrs. Joseph Winterbotham of Marquette, Mich., and a member of the firm of Winterbotham & Winterbotham, lawyers. The marriage will be solemnized early in December.
