Mrs. Carrie J. Bea Canfield, 91 died Sunday at her home at 509 Cumberland St.
Born in Newark, Mrs. Canfield had lived in Flemington and in Irvington before moving here to make her home with a son, George S. Canfield, in 1952. She was the widow of George F. Canfield, who died in 1934.
Mr. Canfield had been a member of the Irvington police force from 1908 until 1918.
In addition to her son, Mrs. Canfield is survived by four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held yesterday at the Gray Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Callahan officiating. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery, Hillside.
