George Richard Henry, 79, of Hot Springs Village, died peacefully at home, Tuesday, May 28, 2013. George was born on June 4, 1933 in Hope, Arkansas, to James Robert Henry and Eudora Ligon Henry.
George is survived by his wife of 57 years of North Little Rock, thier three children; his eight grandchildren; and his two sisters.

George was a retired Navy Commander, an Officer, a Pilot and a Gentleman. After retiring from the Navy, he served as Vice President of Operations at Skyways Airlines, based in Fayetteville, AR. After another stellar career at Skyways, he retired again, this time to Hot Springs Village, AR, where he lived with loving wife for the last 16 years.

George was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend and neighbor whose love of life and the Lord brightened every room he entered. George enjoyed family gatherings especially being Santa Claus at Christmas and always had stories and surprises for the children.
George was a member of his beloved Mountainside Methodist Church in Hot Springs Village and enjoyed the fellowship and bible study there.

George will be missed, but his family is comforted knowing he has finished his Tour of Duty here and now flies with The Lord.

Funeral service were Monday, June 3, 2013 at Mountainside Methodist Church, 301 Elcano Road, Hot Springs Village, AR, followed by interment at Rose Hill Cemetery, in Hope, AR.

Services will include military honors at the gravesite, a 21 gun salute, playing of Taps, and inspection of the casket and presentation of the flag.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made to Mountainside Methodist Church.
