Funeral services for Pauline V. Durant, 61, of the Hull Rd., Rt. 3, Massena, were held Saturday at St. Patrick's Church in Hogansburg. Burial was in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Hogansburg. Mrs. Durant died Jan. 24, 1985 at the Massena Memorial Hospital. Surviving are her husband Edward; three sons, Gary and John of Massena, Lawrence, Norfolk, Va.; nine daughters, Mrs. John (Judith) Shultis, Mrs. James (Cathy) Engstrom, both of Massena, Mrs. Joseph (Carol) Farrell, Mrs. Timothy (Cindy) Gabri, Miss Karen Durant, all of Victoria, Texas, Mrs. William (Nancy) Scott, Watertown, Mrs. Thomas (SaUy) Vickers, Virginia Beach, Va., Mrs. Cecil (Susan) Vickers, brother, Herbert Bashaw, Massena; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Mulvana, Dexter. A son, Charles, died in May of l97l. She was born Feb. 14, 1923 in Malone, daughter of Otto and Thelina Reyome Bashaw. She attended Moira schools and married Edward Durant on Feb. 5, 1940 in St. Lawrence Church. She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society of St. Patrick's Church, Hogansburg.
