Lyle "Red" Shelton Phipps, 69
Lyle "Red" Shelton Phipps, 69, of Yorktown, died Saturday, May 28, at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie after a brief illness.
Mr. Phipps was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Judy A. Bryant Phipps; two sons, Tony S. Phipps and Tod A. Phipps; two daughters, Mrs. Darrel (Deborah D.) Nusbaumer and Mrs. Jeffrey (Denise L.) Geisel; one step-son, Scottie P. Bryant; three sisters, Joyce Hansard, Mrs. David (Peggy) Markley, and Mrs. Larry (Nancy) Stanley; 14 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Tammy S. Beckler.
Services were held at noon today at Parson Mortuary. Burial was at Elm Ridge Memorial Park. Military rites were conducted by the Veterans of Delaware County Honor Guard at the cemetery.
