Olympic Athlete. Considered to be the first great talent of Italian track and field, he won the silver Medal in the 800 meters Olympic final held in London in 1908. His time of 1.54.2 minutes placed him second behind American Melvin Sheppard, whose time of 1.52.8 set a new World record.
