Caroline L. Malchek, age 82, of 3202 E. Tapawingo Rd., Mishicot entered into eternal life Thursday morning January 14, 2016 at the Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. Caroline was born February 24, 1933 in Manitowoc to the late Emil and Waleska Stecker Ney and has been a lifelong area resident. She married Norbert Malchek on August 9, 1952 at St. Annes Catholic Church in Francis Creek and he preceded her in death July 2, 2002. She was a member of St. Isidore the Farmer Catholic Church in Tisch Mills. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an excellent cook, and also enjoyed traveling on the Badger, and gardening. She liked playing cards.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Diane and Robert Bruckschen, of Mishicot, Katherine and Douglas Kakes, of Two Rivers, three sons and two daughters-in-law: Mark and Sandy Malchek, James Malchek, Steven and Katie Malchek, all of Mishicot, nine grandchildren: Kim and Tom Wichlacz, David Malchek, Christopher and Tiffany Malchek, Michael Malchek, Philip Malchek, Allen Bruckschen, Jesse and Megan Bruckschen, Crystal and Jeffrey Kakes, ten great-grandchildren: Ezra, Abigail, Drew Malchek, Katelyn, Jacob, and Gabriel Wichlacz, Nevaeh and Levi Malchek, Cameron and Aubrey Bruckschen. She is further survived by four brothers: Clarence Ney, Louie Ney, George (Dorothy) Ney, Harold (Jean) Ney, one sister-in-law: Frances (Glady) Doughman, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and her husband she was also preceded in death by one brother: Nelson Ney, two sisters: Evangeline Engelbrecht, Helen Bender, three brothers-in-law: Alfred Engelbrecht, Rudolph Bender, Leo Laque, three sisters-in-law: Violet Ney, Ruth Ney, and Lucille Laque.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday January 17, 2016 at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home in Mishicot with Deacon Bob and Christal Wavrunek officiating, with entombment in the Knollwood Mausoleum Hwy. 310 Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call after 12:00 noon on Sunday at the funeral home until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. The Malchek family would like to express a very special thank you to the entire staff of both Holy Family Memorial Hospital in Manitowoc and Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee for the love, and special care extended to Caroline during her illness. Your kindness will always be remembered.
