Nobility. Born the daughter of Henri de Champagne and Marie de France. She married Baudouin IV of Flanders, Count of Hainaut in 1186 and bore him two daughters, Jeanne and Marguerite, that succeeded their father in Flanders and Hainaut. While her husband was elected emperor she sailed to the Holy Land. In Acre she received the news of the election and traveled to Constantinople. She died on the way there and was buried in the Hagia Sophia.
