Edward Wayne Robbins, 68, Route 1, West Point, died at 5:51 p.m. Friday, April 12, 1991, at University Hospitals, Iowa City. He had been in failing health three months.
A past president and treasurer of the Denturist Association of Arizona and a past vice-president of the National Denturist Association, he recently retired as owner and operator of the Amity Dental Clinic in Phoenix. He also was a former professor at Cuyahoga College in Warrensville, Ohio, and at Central Arizona College in Casa Grande, and taught dental prosthetic design at the Indiana State Prison, Michigan City, IN and the Arizona State Prison, Florence.
He was born Jan. 4, 1923, at Flora, Indiana. He was a member of the First Baptist Bible Church of Phoenix and was an Army veteran of World War II. He had lived in the Fort Madison area for the past year.
On June 16, 1944, at Huntington, Ind., he married June M. Collins, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Larry of Michigan City; two daughters, Mrs. David (Carol) Straube, Phoenix, and Mrs. John (Jean) Lange, West Point, two sisters, Florence Hobson, Russiaville, Ind. and Frances Hughes, Morristown, TN; nine grandchildren, a great-grandchild and several nieces.
He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters. His parents were Frank and Mayabelle Clauson Robbins.
Services were at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, at the Barr Memorial Chapel in Fort Madison. The Rev. John Lange, his son-in-law, officiated. Burial was in Solders' Circle of Oakland Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the Faith Bible Church Christian School. Contributions may be made at the Barr Memorial Chapel.
