Anna Marie was the granddaughter of Gerardo and Maria Constanza Rosato, from Toritto, Puglia, Italy.

Youngest daughter of Saverio and Vincenza Crochitto Rosato,
parents of seven children:

Gerald Rosato
William Americo Rosato
Rocco Peter Rosato
James G. Rosato
William Vito Rosato
Maria Constanza Rosato
Anna Marie Rosato

She never married. Anna devoted her life helping others.

Devoted aunt of:
Robert Andriola
Judith Andriola
Virginia Andriola

She was a caring and loving person, loved cats and took many strays into her home, had them altered and placed them in good homes where they were cared for and loved. Neighbors and friends brought stray cats to Anna knowing she would find good homes for them. The cats she couldn't place were her constant companions and considered "her children."

Funeral Mass Eulogy, June 22, 2005, for Anne Rosato. Presented by niece, Judith Andriola, daughter of Mary Rosato Andriola and Frank Andriola.

Aunt Tanna was a special and unique person.

She lived her own life doing things women of her generation rarely did. Along with her friend Roz she owned and ran a nursing home for 30 years.

She spoke her mind and spoke up for herself. And she would always shoulder that burden for those who were not able to speak up for themselves.

She put on her first pair of skis at the age of 50 when she took her friend Joyce and myself on a ski trip she had won. She didn't go down the big slopes, and actually took the skis off sooner rather than later, but she had enough sense of adventure to try the sport.

She was generous – not only to her family and friends but to others as well. When she had the nursing home, at times there would be patients who no longer had the money to pay, so she and her partner would let them stay on for nothing. There was no way they could find it in their hearts to send them away to a place where they wouldn't get the care they needed. So patients stayed there for as long as they needed free of charge.

God gifted her with an extraordinary mind and intelligence. She was extremely interested in life and was self – taught in many things, particularly the science of nursing home administration.

She opened her mind to what was happening in the world and what was happening in the lives of those she cared about. She was a good listener – she would always talk things out with you and be objective and help you see both sides.

Most of all, family and friends were everything to her. No matter what, she just loved those in her life.

In the hospital, a few days before she died, she said "I love everyone and listed our names."

She is a presence that will be missed.

We are grateful for her being placed in our lives.
