Entered into rest at her home on Apr 14, 2010. Rose was born on Sept 1921 at home in the Evergreen District of San Jose. She was the youngest of thirteen children born to Jose and Ana Madeiros. She would forever be known as "Rosie" to her family.
Shortly after her birth, the family moved to Downing Ranch in Milpitas CA. She had a wonderful time growing up on the ranch and would tell wonderful stories about her life.
As a young adult, Rose worked in the local canneries and then as a waitress. When she married, she retired from working to take care of the family. In the 1970's, Rose went back to work for Western Catering. She worked for well over 20 yrs and catered all over Santa Clara Valley.
Rose enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, playing card and crafts. She was the PTA Vice President, a Room Mother and a Brownie Leader. She volunteered for the "Brown Bag" program to help fill the bags. For years she volunteered tirelessly for the Muscular Dystrophy. Her and the group of ladies known as the "Chit Chat Club" would raise hundreds of dollars each year for the Telethon.
Rose was married to Joseph Coelho until his death in 1983. She leaves behind her daughter Pam Fujii and son-in-law Calvin, her grandchildren Caela, Chara, Cheryl (Brett) and Chris (Mirna) Fujii, and three great grandchildren.
