Rockabilly Musician. He learned guitar from famed bluesman Junior Kimbrough while growing up in Mississippi and after moving to Memphis in the 1950’s recorded his first record “I’ve Been Deceived.” His best recordings were released in the mid to late 1950’s on the Sun, Meteor and King labels and included the hit single “Tongue Tied Jill.” His only credit as a writer comes on the Elvis Presley song “I Forgot to Remember to Forget,” which was co-written with Stan Kesler. He was rediscovered in his later years by European rockabilly fans which led to a 1977 concert recorded by EMI at the Rainbow Theater in London, England. A final album, “Charlie Feathers,” was recorded on the Elektra label in 1991.
