Jonathan Keefer, one of the wealthest and best known farmers in Trumbull county, passed away shortly before noon yesterday after a couple weeks' illness. He had been unconscious for several days, and his death was not unexpected. He was born in Liberty township 72 years ago and had always resided there. He was a veteran of the civil war, being a member of the 171st regiment Ohio Volunteers.
Mr. Keefer was a stockholder and director in the First National Bank and took a keen interest in the affairs of that institution. An adopted son William of Pittsburg, a wife and two sons Warren, aged 10 and Paul, aged 8, survive him and have the sincere sympathy of the community in their bereavement.
