Arlo, 85, Elida, died at 9:49 a.m., at Primrose Retirement Center.

He was the son of Willard and Viola May (Miller) Conrad. On Sep 28, 1958, he married Nina Marie Sterling, who preceded him in death.

Surviving are a son, Jon (Kimberly), Cantonment, FL; two daughters: Joyce (Russell) Brock, Winter Haven, FL, and Jennie (Bill) Babson, Lake Wylie, SC; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Deceased are three brothers: Chester, Virgil and Victor; and two sisters: Maxine Hennon and Amber Williams.

He was a graduate of South High School class of 1948. He and his wife made their home on Sunderland Road where he became an exceptional gardener and enjoyed caring for a variety of apple trees. Like his father Willard "Old Dutch" an engineer on the Nickel Plate Railroad from 1918 to 1963, Arlo "Dutch" entered service with the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad in 1951 and promoted to engineer in 1959, he retired from Chessie System/ B & O RR Oct. 1, 1991. He was a member of Bluelick Bible Church, Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen and United Transportation Union.

Private family services will be held.
