Christopher Dickison, 26, was killed Tuesday, July 5, 2005 when a roadside bomb exploded in Baqubah, Iraq while he was deployed with the United States Army. Chris grew up in Burien where he loved golf and working on his truck. Shy while growing up, after entering the Army he made many great friends, took up motorcycle riding, and met the love of his life Magdalene Hasenkamp. His dreams were to become an engineer and marry Magdalene. Chris is survived by his parents Rod and Lee Dickison, his beloved fiancé Magdalene, twin sister Ronda (Carlos), siblings Jacki (Tom), Vicki, Brett, Scott (Rachel), Heidi, Gary (Jonie), Suzie (Pat), Grant (Lisa), Greg (Anita), and numerous nieces and nephews. A Vigil Service will take place Thursday, July 14, 2005, 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady Of Guadalupe Catholic Church in West Seattle, A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, July 15, 2005, 11:00 a.m. also at Our Lady Of Guadalupe, with a Military Honors Service to follow at Washington Memorial Park in SeaTac. Arrangements entrusted to Yarington's Funeral Home, (206) 242-2771. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Christopher Dickison Memorial Fund at any Key Bank branch.
