Funeral will be at noon Saturday at First Baptist Church, Alabama City, for Magnolia Carstarphen, Gadsden, who died Sunday, June 21, 2009. The Rev. John M. Woods will officiate. Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery. Adams-Buggs Funeral Service directing.

She is survived by her children, Kenneth (Alfreda) Carstarphen, Ronnie (John) Walker and Francise (Steve Jones) Reeves; grandchildren, Katadra (Jahmayne) Cooper, Torrey Carstarphen, Cheritta Carstarphen, Tashandrea Carstarphen, Shakira (Marcus) Leonard, Terran Ford, Alexis Reeves and Billy Blaylock Jr.; 12 great-grandchildren whom she adored; two sisters-in-law, Ida Mae Mitchell and Sallie Jones; brothers-in-law, Joseph Carstarphen and Forrest Mitchell; a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and caring friends.
