Again the Great Reaper whose name is death has entered our midst and while we helplessly waited with anguished hearts, silently but surely, bore away the spirit of our beloved.

Corda E. Rosenbaum, daughter of W. S. and Eliza J. Peach was born Sept. 8, 1894 and departed this life Dec. 23, 1939 being 45 years, 3 months and 15 days.

At the age of nineteen she was married to Boyd Rosenbaum and to this union were born four children, Howard, Elda, Mrs. Mable Bough and Melvin, all of whom have been at her bedside during her severe suffering of the past two years.

She leaves to mourn her passing the devoted husband who was so faithful in caring for her, the sons and one daughter, two grandsons, the aged father, two sisters, Mrs. F. H. Routh and Mrs. Sim Rosenbaum, one brother, Russell Peach, all of Stockton, also a host of sorrowing relatives and friends. She professed faith in Christ early in life and in her willingness to help others has left a beautiful example of Christianity. Her cheerful and thoughtful disposition will be a tender guidance to her loved ones and though she loved life, she was ready and willing to go to that home where there is no pain.

Wife, mother, sister. We shall miss you so much, now that your voice is hushed and still your undying prayer that we be spared such suffering as was yours, shall make our suffering easier to bear and the sweet communion of heavenly things you have shared with us during your long illness shall ever bear in our lives. No more shall we feel the touch of those tender hands for death has unlocked the door to that eternal home that you were preparing by the life you lived and the good deeds you sent on before. Though you were willing to go, our hearts are desolate and sad, but Heaven seems nearer because of your presence there. So we shall not think of you as dead but just away, for with a cheery smile and a wave of the hand you have entered that unknown land where we shall meet again.

Funeral services were conducted at the Gum Springs Church by Bro. C. R. Dick. Interment at Gum Springs Cemetery in charge of Davis Undertaking Co.
