Enoch was the son of Jane (Bennett) and Andrew Burnham.

Enoch was a farmer. He lived at Williamstown, VT. Enoch and his brother-in-law Aaron Smith Martyn, and also "Squire" Pride, each being a Justice of the Peace, seem to have officiated at weddings often, to the exclusion of clergy. They were often paid "a bran new silver dollar" for performing weddings.

Enoch and his wife Eunice were married Dec 6, 1796 in Windham, CT. They had 11 known children...the 10 listed below, plus their first child, Enoch Jr., born Dec 5, 1797 in Williamstown, VT and died March 16, 1873 in Rachine, Wisconsin.
