Born Franziska, daughter of Ignatz and Seraphina (Winnegger) Ebenhoch in Grasheim, Karlshuld, Bavaria. She traveled to America with her fiance and her sister, brother and brother-in-law on the ship Waesland, landing in New York on 20 Jun 1890. She married Axel (Albert) Schratzenstaller on 13 Oct 1890 in St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Akron, Ohio. Mother of six children: Sara M. Salyerds, Albert Schratzenstaller Jr., Wallie D. Weigel, Jewell Schordock, Elizabeth VanPeenen and Frances C. Jung.

Akron Beacon Journal, 20 October 1930:

"Frances Schratzenstaller, age 60 years, of 1212 Wilbur Ave. died Monday a.m. Survived by one son, Albert of Akron; five daughters; Mrs. Carl Von Peenen, Sterling, Ill., Mrs. Frances Moore and Miss Julia Schratzenstaller of Cleveland, Mrs. Paul Weigel and Mrs. S. Salyerds of Akron; one brother, Jacob Ebenhoch of Akron. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery."
