Richard Joseph Dunne Jr., 8 years old, a grandson of former Gov. Edward F. Dunne, was fatally injured early last evening when he fell down the elevator shaft of a building under construction at 610 Gary place. He died as he was being taken to the John B. Murphy hospital.
Richard climbed to the sixth floor level. There attempted to slide down a cable, lost his hold and fell to the second story. Where he struck a heavy hoisting bucket. The Town Hall police took him to the hospital.
