Spc. Rusty W. Bell of Pocahontas, Arkansas was appreciative of any opportunity that was given to him. Raised by his grandparents, Jerry and Laurie McGowen, in Ravenden, Arkansas and graduated from Pocahontas High School in Pocahontas, Arkansas. He loved to read, and was a helicopter repair worker and a member of the organization called Books for Soldiers. He also is survived by his wife. He died of non-combat-related injuries in Taji, Iraq at age 21.
