OBITUARY-
Lester Marion Jorstad, 89, of Adams, died Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2004, at the Adams Health Care Center.

He was born June 4, 1915, to Jonas and Odella (Danielson) Jorstad in Warren Township, McCallsburg, Iowa.
The family moved to Minnesota, where he graduated from Elkton High School in 1933 and from Rochester Community College. Lester farmed in the Elkton area.
On Nov. 30, 1963, he married Daphine Nelson Kraft at St. John's Lutheran Church in Elkton. They lived in Rose Creek for 27 years and, more recently, in Adams.
Lester enjoyed fishing, bird watching, woodworking and furniture refinishing.

Survivors include his wife, Daphine Jorstad, Adams; stepchildren, Roger (Peggy) Kraft, Austin; Marlys (David) Senjem, Rochester; Ronald (Sandra) Kraft, Houston; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Viola Austin, Marysville, Calif.; Vida Rankin, Boone, Iowa; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.

Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and Saturday at the church for one hour before the service.
Service: 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, 2004, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Elkton, with Pastor Greg Mannel officiating.
Interment: St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Elkton.
Funeral Home: Worlein Funeral Home, Austin.
