He was a veteran of World War II and former manager of Hinky Dinky stores in Plattsmouth, North Platte, and Lincoln.
Survivors include his mother, Hallis Spry of Plattsmouth; wife, Patty, Lincoln; daughter, Mrs. Gene (Carol) Bartu, Crete; four grandchildren, Sondra Bartu, Lincoln; Steve Bartu, Crete; Joyce Bartu, U.S. Air Force; and Gina Bartu, Crete.
Graveside services were held today at Lincoln Memorial Park.
