Jerusha was the daughter of Mercy/Marcy Wheeler and Deacon David Sherman of Stratford, Connecticut. She first married Ebenezer Seeley. After his death she married Rev. Daniel Boardman in Nov. 1720. They had three daughters and one son. Their son was the Reverend Sherman Boardman. Jerusha died in New Milford Connecticut and is buried next to her husband.

"In memory of Mrs. Jerusha Boardman Relict of the Rev. Daniel Boardman who died Aug. the 30th 1777 in the 85th year of her age.
I once was active in the buisy [sic] world until fatal Death his Pointed Arrows hurld and Plung'd me in this dreary volted tomb. Where you, my children dear, Must quickly come."
