EAST FISHKILL - Michael E. Egan, 53, a resident of Hopewell Junction for 20 years and formerly of Yorktown Heights, died on Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie following a courageous two year battle with cancer. Born in White Plains on February 3, 1954, he was the son of the late Eugene Egan and Leona Elliott Egan of Richmond, VA. Mr. Egan was employed as a sheet metal mechanic and copper roof specialist for Tuckahoe Sheet Metal and Roofing, Yonkers for 21 years. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local #38, Brewster and enjoyed hunting, crafting, woodworking, painting and stained glass art. On August 25, 1973 at St. Patrick's Church, Yorktown Heights, he married Arlene Manley who survives at home. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his children, Michael Egan of Hopewell Junction, LeAnna Brennen and her husband, Peter of Danbury, CT, Krista Egan of Hopewell Junction and Jessica Egan of Hopewell Junction; his grandchildren, Alexander, Cheyenne and Shelby; his sister, Marylee Marks and her husband, David of Richmond, VA; his brothers, Robert Egan and his wife, Rindie of Fort Worth, TX and Richard Egan of Savannah, GA; several nieces and nephews and many beloved members of his wife's family. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
