William C. McCauley, age 72, died at his home this morning at Harriston, about 7:00 o'clock. He is survived by his wife, Ida McCauley, seven daughters, Mary Simms, of Washington, D. C.; Armisie Jackson, of Grottoes; Ardie McCauley, of Baltimore; Leola Casey, of Harriston; Pondola Hart, of Washington, D. C.; Arthon McCauley, of Harriston; and Annie White, of Laurel Hill; five sons, General McCauley, of New Hope; Lazarus McCauley, of Waynesboro; Nicamus McCauley, of Connecticut; Hiawatha McCauley, of Harriston; and Clemmon McCauley, of Harriston; one step-son, Aloyer White, of Washington, D. C. He is also survived by 44 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held from the John Wesley Chapel, near Harriston, with interment in the near by churchyard. Rev. H. H. Riley will have charge of the service.
