David Henry Crouch, 61, of R. 4 Traverse City, died unexpectedly Monday morning on arrival at Munson Medical Center.

Mr. Crouch, a life-long resident of the area, was born May 31, 1905 at Grawn, the son of David and Lenna (Lawson) Crouch. He was an employee of the Traverse City State Hospital for many years. On January 25, 1939, he married M. Marcella Baynton.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are five sons, John of Traverse City, William, David, Steven and Eugene, all at home; one daughter, Sp. 4 Terese Crouch of W.A.C. stationed in Aberden, Maryland; four brothers, Ed and Doronda of Traverse City, Evart of Clio, and Leon of Empire; six sisters, Mrs. martha Sheldon of Traverse City, Mrs. Eleanor Harrison and Mrs. Lila McWethy, both of R 4, Traverse City, Mrs. Marie Lemcool of Alpena, June Franklin of Norwalk, Ohio, and Mrs. Edna Carpenter of Three Oaks; his mother, Mrs. Lenna Crouch of R 4, Traverse City; numerous neices and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and two sisters.

Services will be held at the funeral home Thursday with the Rev. Fr. Patrick Barrett officiating. Burial will be in the family lot at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens.
