Sgt. Andrew R. "Andy" Jodon, 27, Karthus, Pa., died serving his country on Thursday, May 12, 2005 in Samarra, Iraq. He was born to Jeffrey C. Jodon of Milesburg and Sandra L. Watson of Lemont, September 23, 1977 in College Township. He married Bobbi Jo Clevenstine on July 9, 2004. She survives at home. He was a graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School. He was of Methodist faith. He was a member of the Clarence American Legion Post 813, Clarence Moose, Snow Shoe; Veterans of Foreign War Post 5600, the 3 Points Sportsmans Club, and the Clarence County League. He enjoyed hunting, the outdoors, sports, and was a tinkerer. He was a Corrections Officer at SCI Rockview from 2002-2003, and then joined the United States Army and was serving in Iraq. Along with his parents and wife, he is survived by his step-father, Raymond S. "Sparky" McGonigal, of Snow Shoe; two step-daughters, Roni Sue Leigey and Kailin K. Leigey, both at home; four brothers, Jeffrey C. Jodon, Jr., of Julian; Toby R. McGonigal, of Clarence; Eric S. Jodon, of LeMars, IA; and Kerry M. Jodon, of Zion; and his paternal grandmother, Milesburg mayor Phyllis Jodon. Funeral at Snow Shoe United Methodist Church, Snow Shoe, Friday, May 20, Rev Catherine Dittman officiating.
