Anna Clark Williams born 22 Oct 1834 in Newark, Essex, NJ dtr of Phebe Goff and Nathaniel Williams, married Ezra Millard, brother of Joseph Hopkins Millard, both noted Omahans.
Anna and Ezra were married 6 Feb 1855 in Dubuque, Dubuque County, IA. She died 20 Dec 1902 in Omaha, Douglas, NE, and is buried in Omaha with Ezra.
Ezra was born 3 Feb 1833 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada like brother Joseph who was born April 1836.
He was educated in Canada and taught there until the family came to the US in 1850. He went first to Sioux City, Woodbury, IA then to Omaha in Oct 1856.
He formed a real estate firm with his brother Joseph, and Willard Barrows [Anna's Aunt Ann's husband]. They branched into banking in 1866 and was succeeded by Omaha National Bank with Ezra as president until 1884. He later formed Commercial National Bank.
He was a member of the legislature in 1860 and Omaha mayor in 1869. He erected a number of buildings in the vicinity of 11th and Harney, and in 1882 was one of the builders of the Millard Hotel. He helped organize the Omaha Library Association and was its first president. He was a member of I.O.O.F. (Moose). He died 20 Aug 1886 in Saratoga Springs, Saratoga, NY. He and Anna had Alfred M. (Cashier of US Natnl Bank), Carrie, Mary Louise (Mrs. Harold Gifford), Anna M. (Mrs. Herbert M. Rogers), Helen and Ezra, Jr.
