Mr. Rader was the son Henry and Uriah (Mariah Jane) Rader and was born in McComb on Sept. 19, 1846. He was married in 1864 to Nancy Jane Whetstone who died in 1883. Children of this union were Mrs. Emma Mounts, Findlay; Melvin W. Rader, McComb; Burl and Walter Rader, both of Port Clinton; Calvin D. Rader, and Mrs. Lucy DeVore, of Leipsic. Purl E. Rader died in August, 1932. On March 15, 1886 he was married to Tryphene Shelley who survives with the following children: Ernie C. Rader, North Baltimore; Mrs. Edna Franks and Mrs. Sue M. Walsh, both of Leipsic: Mrs. Lizzie V. McCamey and Ruth D. Latta, of McComb. Mrs. Pearl Apple, of North Baltimore and Mrs. Jessie Nickels, of Toledo, are step-daughters. A daughter, Mrs. Ida Franks, died two years ago. McClelland Rader and E.L. Rader, both of McComb are brothers.
