Dora Dusenberry Barb, 88, of Greensboro (Mapletown), died at 7:02 a.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2013, in her home.

She was born August 3, 1925, in Mapletown, a daughter of the late Harry Hastings and Susie Wilson Dusenberry.

Mrs. Barb was a 1943 graduate of Mapletown High School and received a bachelor's degree from Waynesburg College in 1947. She resided in Mapletown all of her life, where she was a lifelong-member of Mapletown United Methodist Church. Mrs. Barb served as treasurer for the United Methodist Women for many years.

She taught school in Brownsville High School, Point Marion Junior High School and Southeastern Greene School District until her retirement. She was a member of the former Emerald Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, Waynesburg, a member of the National Society Of The Daughters of the American Revolution, Waynesburg, and a member of the Auxiliary of the Gideons International in Greene County. For many years, Mrs. Barb and her husband delivered daffodils for the American Cancer Society.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. On June 11, 1948, she married H. Miller Barb, who survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Holly B. Stevenson and her husband, Gary, and Joy B. Born and her husband, Robert, all of Greensboro; seven grandchildren, Brian Stevenson, Sara Parker and her husband, Bill, Erin Stevenson, Walter Born, Amanda Adkins and her husband, Kris, Jeremy Born and Dale Born; four great-grandchildren, Christopher, Brayden, Matthew and Kara; and nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are welcome from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4:30 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Yoskovich Funeral Home, 724-966-5500, Martin J. Yoskovich, funeral director, 300 South Vine Street (Route 88), Carmichaels. Additional visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of service, Friday, September 13, in Mapletown United Methodist Church, Greensboro. The Rev. John W. Hodge and the Rev. Kenneth A. Haines will officiate. Interment will follow in Monongahela Hill Cemetery, Mapletown.
