Her services were conducted by the Reverend Loma Sullivan in Oklahoma City Wednesday, 31 August 2005, under the direction of Hahn-Cook-Street & Draper Funeral Home with her burial beside her husband and infant daughter in Rose Hill Burial Park, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. As a friend said, "If Jewel doesn't make it until December, she will still have been born in 1905 and lived until 2005. That is one thing that my mother reminded me of when she was ill some months before her 100th Birthday. Mother was always coming up with stuff that made us all laugh. About 8 months before her 100th Birthday, she said well I have already celebrated being alive and kicking. After all I was conceived 9 months before I was born."
