Virginia Wingfield Frith, 84, of Burgess Street, Martinsville, died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2002, at her home.
She was born June 16, 1918, to William Webster Wingfield and Pearl Rakes Wingfield, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Veron Wingfield and Bernice Wingfield; and two sisters, Janice Gregory and Carolyn Hallum.
For several years, she attended the Martinsville Church of God.
Surviving are a son, Sherrill G. Frith of Collinsville; one daughter, Dale Frith Thomas of Cleveland, Tenn.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Carl Wingfield of Collinsville and Robert Wingfield of Chesapeake; and three sisters, Beatrice Adkins and Christine Gregory both of Martinsville and Dorothy Turner of Anderson, S.C.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Martinsville Church of God with the Revs. Jackie Poe, Jimmy Woods and Ronald Hill officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Burial Park.
Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, at the church, prior to the funeral.
