He had undergone major surgery at Swedish Hospital April 24 and had returned home. Death was caused by a blood clot in his lung.
Funeral services were held at Howard Mortuary May 9 with Masonic services at the graveside at Hampden Memorial Estates.
He was born Jan 26, 1888 at Jackson Center, Pa., where he grew up. He married Pearl Stone on Sept 25, 1907 in Grove City, Pa. They homesteaded a farm south of Fleming, Colo., and came to Englewood in 1937.
Mr Ride was employed as a pattern maker at General Ironworks for 21 years until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife and a son, Paul, of Fleming; one grandson and one great granddaughter; two brothers, Tom Ride of Santa Monica, Calif., and Albert Ride of San Francisco; and a sister, Mrs. Agnes Perrine of Escandido, Calif.
