Age 76. Husband of Kari.
Left Norway in 1849 to go to the U.S. when he was still single. He first went to Dodge county WI. and worked there until 1857. He sent for his parents that year and secured 160 acres of government land on Little Elk Creek section 18 township 27 Red Cedar. His parents joined him there coming the last part of the journey by ox team. Ole started by building a log house and barn and began many years of hard labor building up the farm. He married in 1860 Kari Olson of Norway. Ole helped build roads and establish a church and school in the wild lands. Children were Thore O., Olga, Ida and Henry. Henry resided on the home farm until his death and served during the Civil War.
