U.S. Congressman. Immigrating to the United States, in 1880, he settled in Chicago, Illinois. There, he founded and served as president of the Lundin & Company which manufactured chemist's products. Entering politics, he was a member of the Illinois State Senate, (1894 to 1898). In 1909, he was elected as a Republican to the Sixty-first Congress, serving until 1911. An unsuccessful candidate for reelection, he resumed his manufacturing interests until retiring in 1916. He died while on trip in California, at age 79.
