Lisa Renee Andrews Pelt, 54, of Panama City Beach, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2013 at a local hospital. Lisa worked in the medical field as an LPN for over 30 years. She was named Health South's Nurse of the Year in 2006. Lisa was a member of Woodlawn Methodist Church, and in her spare time, she enjoyed writing poetry and being with her grandchildren.
Lisa is preceded in death by her parents, Malcolm Coy Andrews and Mary Chlotelle Carter Andrews. She is survived by her husband, John H. Pelt; four brothers, Michael Andrews (Brenda) of Bremen, GA, Randy Andrews (Beverly) of Dothan, AL ; John Andrews (Melanie)of Panama City, FL and Gene Andrews (Pam) of Rehobeth, AL; four sisters, Vivian Baker (Bob) of Lanark Village, FL, Katrina Puckett of Wyckoff, NJ, Tracey Habron (Kenneth) of Dothan, AL and Tangela Marshall (Steven) of Tallahassee; two children, Josh West (Jeanice) and Ryan West; two step-children, Russell Pelt and Katrina Ward (Bill) of Orlando; and two grandchildren, Colton and Aubrey West.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Woodlawn Methodist Church, with Pastors Steve Irwin and Joe Lay officiating. The family will receive friends at the Church, one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made in Lisa's name to the American Cancer Society.
