Kathryn Hodge, 98, passed away on September 28, 2013 peacefully.

She was born on January 12, 1915 in Beaumont, TX.

Kathryn was the youngest of two brothers and one sister. She completed Beaumont High School in 1933, and graduated from Austin Presbyterian College in Sherman, TX in 1938. While attending Austin Presbyterian College, Kathryn was a member of ALPHA DELTA KAPPA.

She married Roy L. Hodge, at First Baptist Church of Shreveport by Dr. M.L. Dodd. She attended United Methodist Church of Haughton for ten years and joined Haughton Baptist Church in 1950. While a member of Haughton Baptist, she was also a member of the Honor Society until her death. Mrs. Hodge was also a member of the Diamond Set of First Baptist Church of Bossier City.

Kathryn's teaching career spanned many years which included teaching third grade at Jefferson, TX for 3 years, Austin College PE teacher for 1 year, Haughton Elementary first grade for 26 ½ years, and retired from Platt Elementary after 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy L. Hodge; her parents, Dreben Blackwell Reynolds of Rusk, TX and Kate Mae Wyatt Reynolds of Old Washington, TX; and her son, Roy L. Hodge, Jr.
